Using HyperPerfect
Custom Prompts and Rules
Build and organize libraries of prompts and rules that integrate into your AI workflows automatically.
HyperPerfect helps you build and organize libraries of custom prompts and rules that integrate into your workflows automatically. Everything is available right at your fingertips, accessible directly from the chat. Over time, they will improve, always looking for ways to adapt to your needs.
Custom Prompts
What They Are
Saved sets of instructions and context you can load into any conversation on demand. Type @ to bring up your menu of prompts instantly, select one, and the full content loads into the chat. The AI has everything it needs for that task.
Why They Matter
You find yourself giving the AI the same instructions over and over. Or you need to load specific context for a particular kind of task, but you don't want it cluttering every conversation. Prompts solve both problems.
They bring context directly into the main AI's conversation. This is the fastest way to give detailed, task-specific instructions without retyping them.
Key Features
- Instant access: Type
@to bring up your full menu of prompts right from the chat - Attach files: Link reference documents from your file library so the AI has everything it needs
- Quality controls: Set the AI mode and effort level per prompt to balance speed and cost
- AI-created: Describe what you need and the AI creates the prompt for you
Example
In the onboarding demo, the AI builds a "Monthly Report" prompt with detailed instructions for categorizing transactions, writing SUMIFS formulas, building a variance table, and analyzing profitability. Every month, Rosa types @ and selects Monthly Report. The AI knows exactly what to do.
Rule Sets
What They Are
Named sets of persistent rules the AI follows automatically. Toggle them on and off depending on the task. Attach different rules to different plans so you always have full control at the right time.
Why They Matter
You want the AI to follow certain standards every time, without having to remind it. Rules make the AI consistent across every conversation, every prompt, every agent.
Formatting Example
Say you like your financial reports formatted a very specific way: accounting number format, bold headers, freeze the top row, specific column widths, double-underline totals. Set that as a rule once and the AI follows it exactly, every time. No more correcting formatting after the fact.
Adapting to Projects
Rules can also adapt to specific files or projects. Working on a client deliverable that needs different formatting? Turn on that client's rule set. Switch to internal analysis? Toggle to your internal rules. You always know exactly which standards are active.
Key Features
- Toggle on and off: Switch rule sets depending on the task at hand
- Attach to plans: Different plans can use different rules, so your monthly report follows different standards than your ad hoc analysis
- Global preferences: Set preferences that apply to every conversation automatically
- AI-managed: The AI can create and update rules during a conversation. If it discovers a new pattern, it can add it to the rules for next time.
- Carry through everywhere: Rules apply to agents and plan execution, not just the main conversation
Example
In the onboarding demo, the AI creates a "Statement Mapping" rule set that maps Rosa's bank statement descriptions to budget categories. When the AI encounters a transaction starting with "HC," it knows that means Honeycrisp Apples. If a new vendor appears next month, the AI adds it to the rules automatically.
How They Work Together
Custom prompts are on-demand context you load when you need it. Rules are persistent standards you toggle on and off. Together, they form the knowledge layer of your AI workflows:
- Prompts tell the AI what to do for a specific task
- Rules tell the AI how to do it consistently
Both integrate with plans (each step can load a prompt and follow your rules) and agents (each specialist follows your rules and can access your prompts).
You Don't Have to Build Them Yourself
Describe what you need in a conversation and the AI creates prompts and rules for you. Review and adjust from there. The more you use them, the better they get.
